Monans Necklace
In 2019 we visited the ancient Fife village of St Monans and were totally charmed by the place, a hotch potch of houses, in delightful pastel colours, some with terracotta tiles, from the Netherlands, jostle for position on the shoreline. Fishing boats, now sadly depleted in number, lay evocatively in the habours (one of which is Medieval), to remind vistors of past industry. Once known as Inverie but renamed when the bones of St Monance/Monans were interred here in the late 9th century.This is our first Scottish design,(revised from a 2019 idea) a simple handknotted necklace, but with a bespoke clasp, adding the SilkPixie touch.

The muted gemstone beads in this necklace, remind us of the colours of this wee village.
To give this a touch of originality we have added our new clasp, in tones that match the colours of the stones, or you can choose Sterling Silver or Yellow/Rose Gold.
Created with frosted multicoloured amazonite beads, fastened with a silkpixie design clasp in resin-enrobed silk or wire in the style of a rope "grommet" and simple anchor hook.
