Charles Rennie Mackintosh - The Four


The Willow Tea Rooms, (Mackintosh at the Willow) Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow
The original Willow Tearooms that Miss Cranston commissioned Mackintosh to design, both interior and exterior, with free reign. Opened in 1903, closed in 1917, used as a department store and jewellers, before being rescued in 2014 renovated and reopened in 2017.

The Willow Tea Rooms, Buchanan Street, Glasgow
One of Miss Cranston's other establishments, Mackintosh designed the interior along with George Walton, opened in 1897 and sold in 1916, it remained as a tearoom until 1954... it reopened as a tearoom in 1984.
