Epic Embroidery

All set to go!

As mentioned in our last newsletter our Epic Embroidery is almost underway,  the materials have now been ordered and the text template has been typed … we are now designing the Opus Anglicanum style picture.  We want the design to have a Medieval feel, but as this is the first development of the idea, since the inception 25 years ago, we do not want to rush …..

Epic Embroidery

This month we are starting our epic embroidery, a long planned project featuring Walter de la Mare’s poem “The Listeners” stitched on Belfast 32 Count Linen this freestyle embroidery will feature Jacobean inspired stumpwork, needlelace and stitching which would not look out of place in the Bayeux Tapestry.
